“Convenient, easy to use, quick, understandable” were the short (albeit annoying that I did not receive many opinions) and brief explanations and feedback that I had acquired from APEC students here in the San Pablo Branch. While all of these are true, I find their feedback lacking in conviction; they just say, “Hey, this is cool” or “It is convenient.” Hence, I want to give my opinion about it.
Having access to the Chromebooks and tablets in any APEC is a wonder to behold as you may spend most of your time indulging in your lesson and practice skills through these. Technology is rapidly advancing in our age. It is said that technology is a part of our daily lives as well as our surroundings, and it becomes a necessity. With the Chromebook or tablet at disposal, we can get an early insight into what our future working environment would be. It is amazing how much knowledge we have at hand from our phone, a laptop, or a desktop.
More learning can be acquired from technology because of (as I much agreed): Conveniency for us, students. We could simply search for information on a search engine and bam! We have instant information. As I believe, technology here in APEC isn't just about searching google. I think that technology helps us work on our responsibilities with the right mindset. As I observed here in APEC, every student is responsible for doing their task that involves technology. Some of its examples are compiling information that can be useful for future jobs, create a proper presentation with credits to the one who you extracted information from, and to make a report. Advantages fall to the person who is using it if they are responsible enough. While I agree that technology is useful in learning, disadvantages ultimately fall on the person if they let it distract them.###
