As we celebrated the 6th Foundation day of the APEC Schools on September 28, 2019, Grade 11 - STEM was the overall winner for the Talent Exposition. We saw some talents that every each of us has, and it was evident that everyone tried their best to win. Everything that happened on that day was fun and lively. We, Grade 7, on the other hand, need a lot of improvement for us to win. We also conducted a quiz bee on the same day. There are five questions, and each question is about APEC. The section which gave the correct answer got ten points. Aside from that, there was also a singing competition. One section should provide a duet and a solo, wherein they’re going to sing anything they want for them to win.
On Saturday, September 28, 2019, we had an activity “Amazing Race” produced by Science LFs. Performing arts also organized Zumba for everyone. We were also asked to express ourselves through our dance moves. Everything went well, and we did have a lot of fun as well.
We also observed ownership and growth mindset as our MCH for this month. Ownership is all about taking full responsibility for our actions. We learned that it is an attitude of acting beyond what was given to us. A growth mindset, on the other hand, represents the ability to embrace failures for us to improve every day in our daily lives. We created a poster and essay to celebrate the two MCH. The winners of the poster and essay could get one hundred points for the APEC Legends.
The Quarterly Assessment is supposed to be taken on September 30, 2019, but the mayor of San Pablo City declared the suspension of classes due to the nationwide transport strike. This was a good thing for us because we could have more time to review for the Quarterly Assessment. Our assessments rescheduled the following day.
For the APEC Legends, I think that the STEM or the ABM will win for this month provided that they won most of the awards from the Foundation day. Nevertheless, we still have hope for winning next month.
