SC San Pablo accomplishes ‘Reach Out Project’ with 3rd webinar

APEC Schools San Pablo - Student Council (SC) concluded their Reach Out Project: Mental Health Matters with its last session held via Google Meet, March 17.



Ms. Maica Guce, one of the Guidance Associate of APEC Schools, was the Guest Speaker on that day. With her lecture about Counseling, she started it by conducting an interactive quiz called Fact or Bluff, with questions about the misconceptions involving mental health. She continued by having a quick discussion of the meaning of mental health.


She then discussed the meaning of Counseling and how people misunderstanding it. She said that Counseling requires a collaborative effort between the counselor and the client/student. She gave real-life examples that helped the participants understand complicated terms and situations. She mentioned services and programs that APEC Schools has and how to participate in those programs.


After her talk, Ms. Guce was awarded a Certificate of Recognition. The session ended after Ms. Lady Lee Castillo, the Deputy Adviser of SC San Pablo, gave her Closing Remarks.


Reach Out Project is a series of webinars focusing on Mental Health topics organized by SC San Pablo. The series of webinars featured various knowledgeable guest speakers, as well as asynchronous activities. This project aimed to spread awareness on how students would take care of their mental health and in preventing problems they might encounter concerning this. #
