Shining brightly like a diamond, Randel Bautista, the representative of Red Targemen, was declared as the Champion of the Extemporaneous Speech being part of the Cluster D Unity E-Games and Festival of Talents held via Google Meet, Feb. 27.
Bautista, who showed his ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and concrete way in front of the audience, got the nods of the three judges which are Miss Judy Anne Villamer (Learning Facilitator), Mr. Kim Melitante (Master Teacher), and Miss Maria Regina Hernaez (Teaching Cluster Head). On the other hand, Green Swordsmen's Geleen Ashley Villar secured 2nd place while Orange Mages' Layla Al Shaaili made it in 3rd place.
According to Bautista, "During the contest, I used the given five minutes preparation to ease the nervousness that I have before I enter the meeting room. I was washing our clothes that day. I just stopped for a few moments to represent my team, Red Targemen. Honestly, I didn't expect that I would be joining the said contest and perhaps my coaches and other teammates were not informed as well.”
“To be honest, I was just shocked to know that I was declared as the Champion. I couldn't even imagine and couldn't believe that it was real until I saw the image sent by Coach Neil, telling me that I am the winner. Indeed, as the team captain of Red Targemen, I am very glad to bring honor unexpectedly,” he added as he shared his feelings after winning. #
