As we all have seen in the news, it is important to be aware of our mental health. This extremely affects the performance of an individual, especially the young ones. In accordance with this, APEC Schools San Pablo celebrated the Mental Health week last November 21-29. This allows the students to mingle with others, and assert themselves that they are not alone.

I am Happy When I am Lonely
By Josh Andrei Calabia
I am happy when I am lonely I am happy when I am lonely. You might think I am losing my mind or that I sound ridiculous here in front, but really, I am happy when I am lonely.
You want to know why? Imagine a problem-free world, does it make sense? Does it make us capable of the things we have right now? Do you think or do I think I can be where I am today if not for the problems, for agony, for the loneliness I felt today?
The answer is no. I am happy when I am lonely. But that does not mean I would be forever grateful for problems. I am happy when I am lonely because it makes me a person it made me feel exist, alive and still hanging in there. So to you, whoś listening right now, be grateful sometimes for these storms. Because this calamity might complete who you are in the future.
Crying is Good for the Soul
By Fumi Omowaiye
I want you to reminisce about the worst or even the best part of your life that made you cry. Now, I will ask you something, what did you feel after crying?
There might be a lot of possible answers from you, it can be I felt relieved after crying and so forth. Thereś a lot of reasons why cried, maybe they were happy or what we called tears of joy, right? Or maybe they were miserable. But the most important thing with this is that you can show to otherś what you feel.
As for me, I had experienced the ups and downs in my life that I just cried it out. I don't care if somebody will tell me that I am sensitive and overreacting because thatś me! That is the only thing that I do to make myself feel better. I want you to feel the same comfort that this brought me. So I am encouraging you right now, if you feel bad about something then, cry! Don't think of what they are going to say. Because crying doesn't mean youŕe weak. It is actually manifested that you are strong because you accepted the fact that youŕe a human too.
Because I end this, I want to share what my friend told me that I will never forget. He said that crying is good for the soul.
