Cluster D LFs Astronomo, Pielago finishes 2nd in Game 2 of Inter-Cluster Jeopardy Contest

After an intense battle of wits and strategies, Sir Zion Krehl Astronomo of San Pablo and Sir Sherwin Pielago of Lipa, Cluster D representatives, ended Game 2 of Jeopardy: Learning Facilitators Edition at 2nd place during the APEC Schools Inter-Cluster Unity E-Games and Festival of Talents 2021 held via Zoom, March 20.

Cluster B representatives Sir Alex Inciong and Miss Icon Ablang took the early lead after answering a couple of questions correctly, while Cluster A representatives Sir Greg Villasanta and Miss Lin Batiancilla and Cluster D remain scoreless at first. Yet, at the middle of the game, tables turned, and Cluster A and Cluster D competed head-to-head until they tied before the last question, both with 1400 points.

Ultimately, Cluster A correctly answered the final question worth 500 points, thus taking the top spot with 1900 points. Cluster D secured the 2nd spot with 1400 points, while Cluster B settled at 3rd place with 800 points.

The Jeopardy: Learning Facilitator Edition commenced on the first day of the Inter-Cluster Unity E-Games and Festival of Talents 2021 which was held via Zoom and was streamed live on Facebook. It was a modified version of the Jeopardy game which featured five categories: Writing/Arithmetic; Movies/TV Series; COVID-19; Social Media; and Sports. Cluster A will move on to the grand finals of the game to face Cluster F.

Mr. Astronomo, one of the representative LF of Cluster D, shared that “Prior to the competition, I felt excited because it was a new experience and at the same time pressured because I know the game will be streamed live and a lot of people from different branches of APEC Schools will watch. I became more pressured during the contest proper but was also hopeful that we could make it. I'm satisfied with the results and it was an honor and pleasure to represent Cluster D.” #
