APEC Schools San Pablo tackles next school year plans, Parenting Topic in 3rd Parent Coffee

Revealing plans for SY 2021-2022 and discussing a Parenting Topic were the highlights of the 3rd Parent Coffee held via Google Meet, April 17.

After the Opening Remarks delivered by Ms. Andrea Resane, SHS Learning Facilitator, the discussion of the Parenting Topic entitled “From Small Stuff to Big Stuff: Celebrating Small Wins in the Family” led by Miss Maica Guce, Guidance Associate went next. One of the highlights of this talk is appreciating and recognizing even the seemingly smallest accomplishments of children for them to be more motivated and inspired to perform well or even do better and strive harder to achieve more accomplishments. Four Ways of Responding to Good News was also discussed and the best response is the “Active-Constructive” wherein the parents show enthusiasm, interest, and are supportive.
Ms. Kclyn Landicho, School Administrative Assistant, talked about what to expect in the next school year. She revealed that APEC Schools students on School Year 2021-2022 will still be on online distance learning through the APEC AGILE Learning Program. She also emphasized that there will be no tuition fee increase for the next school year and there will be an auto reservation for old students subject to certain qualifications. She also discussed the various discounts and scholarships that students may avail, as well as the enrollment period and opening activities for the next school year.
Before Ms. Landicho’s talk, Mr. Zion Krehl Astronomo, SHS Learning Facilitator and also the Emcee of the program, had a quick presentation of the activities and outputs participated and accomplished by the students during the months of February and March such as the Unity E-Games and Festival of Talents, the “Reach Out Project” of Student Council (SC) San Pablo, Science Web Fair, Trade Fair, Open Mic, and more.
Ms. Catherine Mirandilla, Branch Sales Associate, talked about the “Refer-A-Friend” program, a referral program for APEC students, parents, and alumni on which they could receive a P300 worth of Gift Certificate for every successful referral granted that the prospect student completes 100% of admission requirements on or before June 30, 2021, and student is active by September 30, 2021.
Mr. Cyril Cabillos, Master Teacher, then gave reminders on various Academic Matters such as Missed Assessment and Policy on Special SA’s, Academic Consultation Program, Completion of INCs for Senior High School (SHS) students, and Promotion and Retention Policy. Mr. Astronomo then presented the Quarter 4 and Closing Calendar of Activities, highlighting the Batch Assembly, Year-End Recognition, and Final Report Card Release, which are tentatively scheduled on May 14, June 19, and June 28, respectively.
In between the discussions, there were two raffle segments wherein five parents won an APEC tumbler and another five parents won an APEC spray pen and notebook.
After the Open Forum, Ms. Lady Lee Castillo, SHS Learning Facilitator and SC San Pablo Adviser delivered the Closing Remarks. Photo ops and singing of the APEC Schools Hymn ended the program. #
