Ready to serve this School Year 2021-2022, APEC Schools San Pablo announces the new set of Student Council (SC) Officers, Oct. 29.

Only one party-list completed their slate for different positions, the Team LEAD (Leaders with Eagerness, Aspiration, and Determination to succeed) while the others ran as independent candidates. They eyed for six electoral positions, to wit: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Information Officer (P.I.O), Peace Officer (P.O) while one Representative has been chosen for Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9, Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12.

Only Grade 8 and Grade 12 Representatives have two candidates ran for the said positions while the other positions from President to PO as well as the other Grade Level Representatives have no opponent. All candidates from LEAD Partylist were declared winners, with Mitzi Guia claiming the top post as President. Other new officers are as follows: Dexter Gonzales - Vice President; Diana Mae Ticzon - Secretary; Catherine Catapang - Treasurer; Andrei Granada - PIO; and Jerry Bombane - PO.

For the Grade Level Representatives, Jeni Niele Colasito, Yeleina Margarita Alvaran, Jene Caryl Parala, Oen Bernardine Samonte, Krizthowell Mirandilla, and Nicka Aira Hiloma were designated as Grade 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 representatives, in the order given.

CAMPAIGN PERIOD

Given almost one month of campaign period that started in the first week of October, they introduced themselves by creating their own video campaigns and postcards and were posted on their personal social media accounts.

Aimed to put the aspiring leaders under careful scrutiny, Miting de Avance was held online via Google Meet in the afternoon of October 12. This event was managed by the school’s COMELEC officers composed of Justin Nazi, Amrel Jose Villaruel, Daniel Lazibal, Jene Caryl Parala, and John Andrei Granada, together with Ms. Lady Lee Castillo, SC Deputy Adviser, and Ms. Maria Socorro Korionoff, newly-appointed School Head.

AUTOMATED ELECTIONS

This year’s SC Elections used Google Forms, the same as last school year’s elections, and the students were given a chance to vote from Oct. 25 to Oct. 29 at exactly 1:00 PM. The results were posted on the school’s official Facebook group on Oct. 29, 4 PM.

Oath-taking of the newly-elected officers was conducted on October 30. #
