Before the start of the regular class this school year, APEC Schools Cluster E prepared a virtual Tribal Welcome program for students, Aug. 27.

The program was divided into two parts wherein the morning session was attended by Junior High School (JHS) students while the afternoon session was attended by Senior High School (SHS) students.

In both programs, one of the highlights was the sharing of online class tips and advice by selected existing students from each grade level. Some of the tips and advice shared were about how to survive online classes, time management, and study-life balance.

Miss Esperanza Lariba, Teaching Cluster Head, rendered the Opening Remarks, followed by the messages from the School Heads and Master Teachers and introduction of the Learning Facilitators.

Students enjoyed the icebreaker activities and games prepared for them such as “Bring Me” and “Name It To Win It” for JHS and Anong Nasa Kahon (“What’s in the Box”) for SHS and winning students received prizes.

Part of the program in the SHS was the Tribal Chant wherein Grade 11 students were divided into 10 groups based on how they grouped for the Orientation Week. Each group performed their yell and showcased their talents.

Special awards were given such as Camera Ready and Best OOTD for JHS and Best Group, Best Chant, and Best Performance for SHS.

Mr. Cyril Cabillos, one of the Master Teachers, said that “It may not be smooth sailing all the time, but be assured that your Learning Facilitators are here to support you." Ms. Jing Korionoff, the School Head of APEC Lipa, exclaimed “Believe that you are in the right tribe!" #
